What fabric works best?

I recommend using medium-weight fabrics with structure such as scuba crepe, duchess satin, mikado, stretch satin, taffeta, ponte knit, or structured polyester blends. These fabrics help maintain the shape of the bustier bodice and create the beautiful volume of the skirt. For extra support and structure, lightweight boning and fusible interfacing are recommended for the bodice.
